Netflix’s latest series, Finding Her Edge, brings together all the elements that make for a captivating romance. Expect to see a relationship of convenience, the classic enemies-to-lovers trope, and a tangled love triangle, among other exciting dynamics.

The storyline centers on the Russo sisters—Adriana, Elise, and Maria—who find themselves as the heirs to a declining figure skating legacy. With pressure mounting to rescue their family’s skating business, Adriana decides to step back onto the ice. She fakes a romance with her rebellious new skating partner, Brayden, hoping this ruse will secure a vital sponsorship to save their family’s rink. However, her unresolved feelings for Freddie, her ex-partner and first love, further complicate the situation.

Finding Her Edge draws inspiration from the young adult novel by Jennifer Iacopelli. The adaptation is brought to life by Shelley Scarrow, known for her work on Degrassi: The Next Generation, and has launched just in time to capture the excitement of the Winter Olympics.

• Madelyn Keys as Adriana Russo

  Madelyn Keys leads the series as Adriana Russo, who retired from figure skating when her mother passed away. But when she gets the chance to return to the sport her family’s legacy was built on, her only hope lies in bad boy Brayden Elliot, which could ruin any chance she has of rekindling things with her former flame and partner, Freddie.

  Keys previously starred in My Husband Hired A Hitman and Three Pines.

• Cale Ambrozic as Brayden Elliot

  Cale Ambrozic stars opposite Keys as Brayden Elliot, the only figure skater who can help her win the World Championships and possibly qualify for the Olympics. He may be the bad boy everyone warned her about, but their chemistry on the ice is undeniable.

  Some may recognize Ambrozic from the MGM+ series Hotel Cocaine and, more recently, We Were Liars.

• Olly Atkins as Freddie O’Connell

  Olly Atkins stars as figure skater Freddie O’Connell. He was Adriana’s former figure skating partner until she bailed on their partnership – and their budding relationship – for years. But when he shows up to her family’s rink to train with his new partner, there’s no denying that the feelings are still there.

  Prior to starring in Finding Her Edge, Atkins also starred in Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The 5-Year Christmas Party.

• Alexandra Beaton as Elise Russo

  Alexandra Beaton stars as Elise Russo, Adriana’s older sister. Elise is facing pressure from her father to help save the family’s financially struggling ice skating rink. But when an injury forces her off the ice, she’s forced to contend with her sister returning to the spotlight.

  Beaton previously starred in The Next Step, Overcompensating and Luckiest Girl Alive.

• Alice Malakhov as Maria Russo

  The youngest Russo sister is played by Alice Malakhov. Maria is following in her sisters’ and her mother’s footsteps in becoming an ice skater.

  Malakhov previously starred in Anne Without the E, Zik, and made an appearance in IT: Welcome to Derry.
