In a preview of this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika Jayne candidly discusses her choice to miss Dorit Kemsley’s book launch event. The scene captures her conversation with fellow cast member Sutton Stracke.

During their discussion, Erika, both 54, reflects on the ongoing tension between her and Dorit, referencing a heated argument they had in Italy. She expresses feeling overwhelmed by Dorit’s behavior, hinting that Dorit’s estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, might have accurately assessed the situation.
“I wish I felt like I should be there, but I don’t,” Erika confides to Sutton in the sneak peek for the episode set to air on April 16.
Sutton shares her own actions, revealing, “I called her. She didn’t pick up, so I texted her. I said I wasn’t coming.”
“I called her. She didn’t pick up, so I texted her. I said I wasn’t coming,” Sutton replies.
According to Erika, she didn’t call or text Dorit.
“I was thinking how much she has supported me on Broadway, and then coming to my show in Vegas, and all this sh*t. And I was thinking like, ‘Erika, you should be there.’ Then I was like, ‘Wait a second. We had a full-on disaster happen in Italy. I can’t do that again,’” she explains, noting that a number of factors were at play.
“It’s not from calling me a c*nt. I mean, that’s one piece of it. Like, leaving [Kyle Richards] and I in the town and then she and I having words at the dinner table. And then saying, ‘Well, [Bozoma “Boz” Saint John] has treated me better.’ I’m like, ‘Sweetheart, wait a second. Wait a minute. I’m your friend for eight f*cking years,’” Erika states.
Continuing in a confessional, Erika makes a comment about PK that shocks her.
“I think everybody’s just at their limit. There’s only so much that friends can take before they go, ‘You know what? This is not worth this. I don’t need to be treated like this.’ Maybe PK wasn’t wrong … I can’t believe I just said that,” she shares, seemingly referring to PK’s claim that Dorit had changed since gaining fame on Bravo.
Back in the scene with Sutton, Erika wonders if Dorit is going to be mad about her absence.
“Oh, she’s gonna be mad,” Sutton replies.
Also in the sneak peek, Dorit is seen celebrating her book, Unburdened, with Boz, 49, as she mentions Erika.
“Erika’s not turning up and not even having the f*cking decency [to reach out],” Dorit begins.
“She didn’t even write to say anything?” Boz interjects.
“No,” Dorit confirms.
