On the other side, Kristyna Kaltounkova netted two goals for the Sirens, with Kristin O’Neill adding another. Kaltounkova, now leading the PWHL with 11 goals this season, surpasses Minnesota’s Kendall Coyne Schofield by one. Notably, she becomes only the third rookie in league history to achieve double-digit goals, following in the footsteps of Minnesota’s Grace Zumwinkle, who also scored 11 in the inaugural season, and Sarah Fillier, who recorded 13 for the Sirens in 2024-25.

New York, holding a record of 7-0-2-7, has faced a rough patch, dropping three consecutive games and four of their last five, three of which were in overtime. Their goaltender, Kayle Osborne, managed to save 32 shots during the game. The Sirens are set to host Montreal next on February 26.

Kaltounkova drew penalties that gave New York power plays for the final 1:57 of regulation and that last 1:10 of overtime.

The Fleet went into the game killing a league-high 96.9% of its penalties.

The Fleet, who visit Ottawa on Feb. 28, also beat the Sirens 2-0 on Dec. 17.

Boston played in its second consecutive shootout, the Fleet’s third in the last four games and fourth this season.
