A dramatic rescue unfolded in California on Wednesday when a woman was airlifted from her vehicle after it plunged off a cliff, landing approximately 100 to 150 feet below. The incident occurred along Mulholland Drive in Studio City, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
“LAFD air and ground crews carried out a complex rescue operation this morning after a vehicle went over a cliff,” the fire department shared in a Facebook post on Wednesday. The operation highlighted the department’s coordinated efforts in responding to such emergencies.
Footage from the scene shows rescuers working diligently to hoist the woman from the steep terrain into a waiting helicopter. The dramatic visuals captured the intensity of the rescue mission.

The LAFD confirmed that the woman was successfully extricated from the vehicle and subsequently transported to a trauma center for further medical evaluation and treatment.
