Karen Huger has some sage advice—and a cautionary note—for her fellow Housewife Wendy Osefo.
In a preview for the upcoming reunion of Real Housewives of Potomac, the Grande Dame addresses Osefo, who is currently entangled in a series of fraud allegations.
Karen Potomac tells Wendy Osefo she’s ‘talking too much’
Karen, who missed much of the show’s tenth season due to serving a six-month sentence for a DUI, draws on her recent legal and incarceration experiences to empathize with Wendy and her husband Eddie, who face potential jail time for their alleged involvement in an insurance fraud scheme.
“You’re talking too much, Wendy,” Karen advises her co-star. “I’ve been through this. Trust me. Listen, professor, just keep quiet.”
While Wendy’s response isn’t revealed, a tearful moment is captured as a single tear falls down her face.
Wendy’s reply isn’t shown, but we do see a tear roll down her cheek.
Earlier in the teaser, reunion host Andy Cohen brings up the case against the Osefos, who are accused of lying about a break-in at their home in order to claim hefty insurance payouts on supposedly stolen items, including valuable jewelry and handbags.
“I feel like I’m in a constant nightmare,” Wendy tells Eddie in a scene filmed in their home. “I’m trying so hard. I was so scared.”
On the reunion stage, Wendy admits that she is not doing well amid the legal drama. But she’s determined to make it through this moment.
“No, I’m not OK,” she says. “But when you’re in that valley, you see a side of yourself that you’ve never seen before.”
‘RHOP’ star opens up in interview with Andy Cohen
Karen, meanwhile, is on her comeback tour. She’s done some serious reflecting since she crashed her Maserati in March 2024 while under the influence. In a candid interview with Cohen that will air during the February 1 season finale, she admits that for a long time after the single-car accident she was “in denial and still under the influence” of “prescriptive drugs and drink.” That led her to ignore the advice of her lawyer to pursue a plea deal that might have allowed her to avoid jail time.
“It was preventable,” she says. “But let’s not underestimate the power of drugs and alcohol.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac three-part reunion begins Sunday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Uncensored reunion episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
