AUGUSTA, Ga. – An inspiring evening unfolded at the First Baptist Church on Tuesday as the community gathered for the annual Giving Your Best banquet, a celebration dedicated to those who selflessly serve others.
The ceremony spotlighted the 12 exceptional individuals recognized with the 2025 Giving Your Best award, honoring their remarkable volunteer efforts and contributions across the CSRA.
For over 30 years, this longstanding tradition has been about more than just accolades; it aims to highlight ordinary individuals achieving extraordinary feats in their communities.
Among the honorees was Melissa Hancock, who expressed what the evening’s recognition meant to her.
“Being in such esteemed company is truly humbling,” Hancock said. “Often, it feels like you’re working in isolation, striving to do your best alone. But events like these reveal that across Georgia, people are uniting with a shared passion for helping others. It’s reassuring to know that there’s a community out there supporting one another, reminding us we’re not alone.”
