Jeremy Clarkson has shared his perspective on the controversy involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Recently, the U.S. Department of Justice released shocking photographs of the former Duke of York. In these images, Andrew is depicted kneeling next to an unidentified woman. In one photo, he appears to be touching her stomach while she is fully clothed, and in another, he is seen looking directly at the camera. Andrew has consistently denied any misconduct.

This situation has delivered a significant setback to the royal family, prompting Clarkson, the 65-year-old star of Clarkson’s Farm, to comment on the aftermath. He questioned Andrew’s choice of associating with a known pedophile, recalling a personal encounter with the prince. In his recent column for The Sun, Clarkson succinctly expressed his thoughts with a four-word reaction following the release of the Epstein files, stating, “this is what I think is weird.”

Clarkson reflected, “Years ago, the man now referred to as Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor was a charming prince and a decorated war hero,” he recounted.

“I would often see him at various events, always surrounded by an array of stunning women eager for an invitation to the Palace,” he continued.

Clarkson pondered, “So why did he find it necessary to befriend a pedophile and have him arrange for girls to be brought over from America?”

The columnist suggested it’s could be more bad news for the royal.

He concluded: “It’s odd and it makes me think there’s a lot more to the story than we think.”

Meanwhile, an email seemingly from Ghislaine Maxwell appears to confirm that a photograph of Andrew with his arm around Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual abuse, is real.

The former prince, who has always denied any wrongdoing, has previously questioned whether the picture had been doctored and claimed he had never met Giuffre.

But in a message, released as part of the latest batch of the Epstein files, headed “draft statement” sent by a “G Maxwell” to Jeffrey Epstein in 2015, she wrote: “In 2001 I was in London when [redacted] met a number of friends of mine including Prince Andrew. A photograph was taken as I imagine she wanted to show it to friends and family.”

The family of Giuffre, who died in 2025, told the BBC’s Newsnight that the email showed she had been “vindicated”.
