Blessing Agbomhere, a notable figure within the All-Progressives Congress (APC), is urging the youth of Edo State to take a stand against kidnappers and bandits. His call to action comes after a video surfaced showing him navigating through dense bushland while armed.

The widely shared video depicts Agbomhere walking through thick foliage, locations he claims are frequented by criminals seeking refuge. In the footage, he emphasizes the need for young individuals to step beyond the confines of their homes and actively participate in safeguarding their communities.

Agbomhere’s message was clear: “Instead of entering inside the bush to chase all the kidnappers out, many of them are sitting inside AC and complaining about insecurity.” His words highlight a desire for proactive engagement rather than passive criticism of the security situation.

Accompanied by security personnel and wielding what seemed to be a firearm, Agbomhere’s actions underline his belief that citizens should play a direct role in combating crime. His venture into the bush aims to inspire others to follow suit, reinforcing the notion that community defense is a shared responsibility.

Holding what appeared to be a firearm, with security personnel beside him, the APC chieftain said he had decided to personally enter the bush to show that citizens must also take part in confronting criminals.

He insisted that insecurity cannot be solved if people continue to depend solely on security agencies without playing their own part.

“I am here inside the bush. If you say kidnappers are here, we should come out and face them. We cannot just sit down and be complaining.”

He concluded by saying the government cannot tackle insecurity alone, stressing that citizens must also take responsibility.
