Tommy has taken to social media to provide a health update in collaboration with Prostate Cancer UK, an organization that has been instrumental in sharing his journey. In his message, Tommy reassured his followers, stating, “The article about my prostate cancer journey was published today, and before anything else, I want you to know that I’m okay. Truly, I’m doing well, I’m working, and I’m feeling good. Reflecting on it, however, reminded me of how terrifying it was when I first heard the word cancer. It was a moment that struck me profoundly and changed my life instantly.”

He continued, “I was in my 50s when I received the diagnosis, an unforgettable shock. But now, at 87, I’m still here, still laughing, and surrounded by love, and I consider that a blessing every day. I’ve been under active surveillance for over two decades, and I’m incredibly thankful that my levels have remained low.”

Tommy expressed deep gratitude for his wife, Hazel Winman, whom he described as his “rock,” “calm,” and “strength.” He added, “My family has supported me in ways they may never fully realize.”

He also extended his thanks to Prostate Cancer UK, saying, “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to @prostatecanceruk for providing me the platform to share my story. Their support and commitment to raising awareness about this disease are invaluable to me.”

He concluded with a message of encouragement: “If my story inspires even one man to get checked, then it’s worth it. Please don’t delay. A simple test could save your life. And if everything checks out, you’ll leave feeling ten feet tall.”

“Thank you for the love you’ve shown me over the years. I’m still here still doing what I love and still grateful for every new day. Look after yourselves. And get that test done!”
