URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — The wandering cow that had taken a brief tour across the University of Illinois campus on Wednesday has been safely captured. The animal is currently undergoing a health evaluation by a veterinarian to ensure everything is in order.
According to Patrick Wade, who oversees executive communications and issues management at the university, the cow made its unexpected escape around 3:30 p.m. The incident occurred as the animal was being unloaded from a trailer at the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Large Animal Clinic.
