In an unexpected turn, a former neonatal nurse from Wisconsin has caught attention for creating LEGO-style videos that applaud Iran and portray hostile scenarios against the US, The Post has discovered.
Identified as Mahdi Hemmat, this individual, who presents himself as Iranian-American, previously served in the medical profession as a neonatal transport nurse at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee. On Instagram, Hemmat touts himself as a “LEGO journalist,” claiming to dissect the “information war brick by brick.”
Hemmat frequently shares these AI-generated videos on his Instagram handle, @persiaboihemmat, gaining traction in the digital realm.
With a growing digital presence, this self-styled “Tokyo Rose” has amassed close to 160,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok.
One such recent video, titled “Bullseye Loomer,” was posted this Monday. It featured controversial political figure Laura Loomer as the target of snipers, all set to an original rap soundtrack.
“Bullseye Loomer look who froze, loved the red dots til one got close,” the screed blared as red sniper dots appeared over Lego Laura’s head.
The video received over 180,000 views on Instagram alone.
Another video revels in the sudden death of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) last weekend — and includes lyrics that the late politician was “first on the list.”
“War hawk down, war hawk down, Lindsey flatline hear it now, you called for fire in every town, first on the list, war hawk down,” the song played on the video, which garnered over 104,000 views.
Hemmat, 37, took credit for the videos in an April interview with Russian state media RT, where he spouted antisemitic Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps propaganda.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran and her supporters is mocking [Trump] right back with … these Lego animations that go viral, honestly, instantly,” Hemmat told the outlet.
“It adds to an image of a president whose Epstein regime is all talk and no control, especially when the world sees Netanyahu and his synagogue of Satan clearly pulling his strings.”
Hemmat boasted his videos are weakening President Trump’s public image and praised Iran’s “brilliant” social media strategy. He also called the US a “rogue terrorist state.”
“Low-cost, high-impact content forces billion‑dollar media empires to play defense,’ he told the outlet.
“Iran controls the terms of engagement online, just like it does on the ground.”
A video posted May 23 shows gunmen opening fire on the White House as it erupts in flames.
Another, posted June 10, shows US troops stationed in the Middle East fleeing Iranian bombs as a rap song repeats an Iranian claim that the IRGC struck 21 American bases in a single night.
“21 bases lit up in one night, Iran got the receipts they can’t deny,” the song played as images of Iranian bombs destroyed US military infrastructure in the region.
Hemmat appears to be linked to Explosive Media — Akhbar Enfejari in Persian — a Tehran-based collective that also posts AI-generated LEGO Iranian propaganda videos ONLINE and frequently tags him in its posts.
M. Taha Ansari Mohseni, who ran social media for Saeed Jalil’s failed 2024 Iranian presidential campaign, is also a contributor to Explosive Media, according to a report from the Canadian office of global affairs.
The report stated that at least 83 million people engaged with the LEGO AI propaganda videos in the first month of the Iran war.
Hemmat’s LinkedIn claims he is still employed at the hospital, but an Aurora spokesperson told The Post he hasn’t been affiliated with the center since March 2025 .Hemmat could not be reached for comment.
