A Channel 4 employee was found dead in the sea off Wales, around 110 miles from her home, an inquest has heard. Lolita Visa, 32, who worked as a television librarian, was recovered from the water at Llandudno on August 26. In the days before her death, she had travelled from Halifax, West Yorkshire, to see her father in Manchester, before continuing on to Liverpool, where she sent him a photograph. On August 22, she sent another picture from Llandudno.
After losing contact with her, Ms Visa’s family reported her missing to West Yorkshire Police. The force contacted North Wales Police three days later. Coroner John Gittins later told the hearing that, the following day, a member of the public raised the alarm with HM Coastguard after seeing a body in the water off the resort town’s coast.
Mr Gittins said: “The deceased was brought aboard the lifeboat and transported to lifeboat station.”
The hearing was told that a post-mortem examination identified injuries “consistent with time submerged in water”. No evidence of any significant injuries was found.
The inquest into Ms Visa’s death has been adjourned to a later date.
Visa’s LinkedIn profile described her as a Digital Media Librarian at Channel 4. Prior to this, she worked as a Bookings Coordinator for the streaming company DAZN.
Her family has since launched a GoFundMe to help cover the cost of her funeral, with Wiktoria Januszewska hoping it will enable them to give Visa “the send off she deserves”.

The caption reads: “Her loss has left all of us heartbroken, and we are faced with the difficult task of arranging her funeral.
“We are asking to help raise funds to be able to give her the send off she deserves, and help to cover any expenses that come with covering getting her to Latvia, as that where she is from and we want her to be at home.
“We were never prepared, or expected, for this to take place, and we are not in a financial place to be able to cover everything by ourselves.
“If you knew Lolita, we hope you remember her for the person that she was and keep her memories close to you. She was bubbly and a joy to be around, she had stories for days to share about her travels and where she has been.
Wiktoria adds: “Any donations will help, and if you’re unable to donate, simply sharing her story so it reaches more people will help us. On behalf of the family, we thank you.”
At the time of writing, more than £7,100 has been donated.
