Lori Loughlin has moved to legally end her marriage to fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, filing for divorce after more than 28 years together.
News surfaced last October that Loughlin and Giannulli, parents to daughters Olivia Jade, 26, and Isabella “Bella” Rose, 27, had separated.
The former couple became widely known for their involvement in the “Varsity Blues” college admissions scandal, after using fraudulent means to secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California. Both later served overlapping prison sentences in connection with the case.
In the divorce filing, Loughlin gave the couple’s date of separation as August 31, 2025, and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for dissolving the marriage.
According to legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Loughlin stated that an agreement regarding financial support will be negotiated at a later date.
The couple signed a prenuptial agreement on October 28, 1997 – the month before they eloped – and flied an amendment to it on August 11, 2015.

Loughlin is represented by attorneys Kristina Royce – whose celebrity clientele has included Channing Tatum and Jeff Garlin – and Sarah Luetto.
The Daily Mail has contacted Loughlin’s representatives for comment.
In the initial aftermath of their split, a source claimed Loughlin left Giannulli after discovering a cache of ‘incriminating’ emails and texts on his phone.
‘Truly, the tipping point came when Lori found a bunch of text messages,’ a friend of the Full House actress sensationally alleged to Page Six.
‘Mossimo had used Lori for years,’ the insider said. ‘She was hoping maybe he would change when he got out of prison, but he got worse.’

News of the separation broke hours after a distraught-looking Loughlin was seen sharing a comforting embrace with her friend and sometime co-star James Tupper, who used to be involved with the late Anne Heche, via TMZ.
The day Mossimo’s break with Loughlin went public, he was glimpsed out and about in Beverly Hills with 32-year-old stylist Hannah Harrison.
Harrison swung into action to clarify the nature of their relationship, insisting that her equation with the fashion designer was strictly ‘platonic,’ via Us Weekly.
‘I feel like it was bad timing,’ she said, insisting she met him for work at a supply store for his brand G/FORE ‘not knowing that his separation had been announced.’
Giannulli and Loughlin eloped two days before Thanksgiving 1997, two years after she concluded her star-making run on the smash hit sitcom Full House.
They achieved a searing degree of notoriety as a couple over the college admissions scandal, which landed both of them behind bars.
In 2019, Loughlin and Giannulli were exposed as having bribed their daughters’ way into USC, paying $500,000 to a fixer in order to falsely pass off Olivia and Bella as potential rowers on the university’s team.
The day her parents were indicted, Olivia was holidaying on the yacht of the USC trustee board’s billionaire chairman Rick Caruso, who later ran unsuccessfully for Mayor of Los Angeles against the present incumbent Karen Bass.
Although Giannulli and Loughlin initially claimed to be innocent, he ultimately pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services and mail fraud, while she pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.
Loughlin spent two months in federal prison at CI Dublin in California before being released in December 2020, days before New Year’s.
Meanwhile, Giannulli had to spend five months in prison for his role in the bribery scheme and was ultimately released in early April 2021.
