Comedian Carrot Top Hospitalized in Las Vegas, Receiving “Care and Support” During Recovery
Carrot Top is recovering after being hospitalized in Las Vegas.
The comedian, whose real name is Scott Thompson, has maintained a Las Vegas residency for more than 20 years. Following his hospitalization, his representative provided an update on his condition.
“Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs,” his representative, Jami Schlicher, told Entertainment Weekly in a Sept. 19 statement. “His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy.”

The Luxor Hotel and Casino, where the 61-year-old comedian has performed his nightly show since 2005, also shared a message of support.
“Scott is a beloved member of the Luxor and MGM Resorts family, and we are relieved to hear that he is recovering,” the Luxor Hotel and Casino told KLAS. “We are thinking of him and wish him strength as he receives the care and support he needs.”
