Celebrities are paying tribute to Cindy Crawford’s son, Presley Gerber, who died unexpectedly at the age of 27.
News of Gerber’s death emerged Sunday, September 20. The son of Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, died at a rehabilitation facility. His cause of death has not been disclosed.
“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” Presley’s loved ones said in a statement to Us.
Before his death, Presley had spoken publicly about his struggles with substance abuse and mental health.

“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” Presley said during a 2023 appearance on the “Studio 22” podcast.
Presley continued: “It’s a huge part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job and there’s so much to it. That’s what I really want to do — help people get out of whether you’re depressed [or] struggling with something that’s having a negative effect on your body. … What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made.”
