Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sharply criticized New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and vowed to “tell the truth” about him during his visit to address the UN General Assembly later this week.
“Shame on you, Mr. Mamdani. Shame on you for supporting the Hamas terrorist monsters who butchered our people. Shame on you for inciting riots against New York Jews,” Netanyahu said in a fiery video posted on X.
Mamdani called on New Yorkers to protest Netanyahu’s visit in July, although he has since sought to deny making that appeal. He has also retreated from a campaign pledge to personally arrest the prime minister, acknowledging that he does not have the political authority to do so.
“I’m coming to the UN. I’m going to tell the truth about our heroic soldiers, and I’m gonna tell the truth about you,” Netanyahu declared.

The Israeli leader’s message came after Mamdani renewed his call for Netanyahu to be arrested upon arriving in New York. The mayor has accused Netanyahu of perpetrating a “genocide” in Gaza.
After a friendly meeting with President Trump at Gracie Mansion on Monday, Mamdani told CNN that he believes the International Criminal Court should intervene. The interview was not listed on his daily schedule.
“When it comes to Benjamin Netanyahu, I have described him as I believe him to be — a war criminal and an architect of a horrific genocide of the Palestinian people,” Mamdani said.
