DETROIT — Three people were killed and four others injured after an argument escalated into gunfire early Sunday at an after-hours strip club in Detroit, authorities said.
Officers responding to reports of a shooting at 7:21 a.m. found three men suffering from fatal gunshot wounds on a largely residential street, Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison said at a news conference.
Four additional victims — two men and two women — were driven to area hospitals in private vehicles. None was believed to have life-threatening injuries.
Bettison said the victims were believed to be in their 20s and 30s.

“A fight occurred, an altercation occurred, and as a result individuals decided to settle it with gun violence,” Bettison said.
The location had drawn police attention before. Bettison said officers had received seven calls from the address this year and that investigators had leads, though he did not provide further details.
