Erika Hammond addressed her castmates’ frustration over the poolside dinner she hosted on her private island, Moskito Island, following last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York City.
Although Erika suspected fellow newcomer Daisy Toye criticized the event out of “jealousy,” and Jessel Taank, 46, took aim at Daisy’s fashion choices, the 35-year-old insisted she had organized the gathering with the best intentions.
“Our house manager was saying how she just hosted a group, and they really loved having this dinner in the pool, and I was like, ‘Sounds amazing. I’m sure these girls will love it,’” Erika recalled during the October 6 episode of the RHONY: After Show. “I was very wrong.”
Erin Lichy, 39, and Sai de Silva, 45, were particularly puzzled by the idea of eating dinner while sitting in the pool.
“Who has dinner with their feet in the pool?” Erika asked. “My feet were like, pruning. We didn’t get any benefit from sitting in the pool.”
Sai shared the same discomfort. “I don’t want my feet in this water … I was freezing,” she said.
Jessel’s main complaint was that the group had not been warned about the unusual dinner setup ahead of time.
“I wish Erika had told us and given us a heads up because I would’ve planned accordingly with my outfit,” she explained.

Daisy, however, was far more dismissive of the experience and suggested she had no interest in returning to Moskito Island. Carole Radziwill, 63, quickly pointed out that Daisy might not get another opportunity.
“Do you ever go some place and are you ever like, ‘I will never be back here in my lifetime?’ The island is one of those places,” Daisy said.
“You’re definitely not gonna be invited back,” Carole responded.
Erika then fired back at Daisy by mocking her apartment, specifically its popcorn ceilings.
“I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s jealousy. Maybe it’s envy. We have an island, and she has popcorn ceilings,” Erika said.
Jessel also confronted Daisy after Daisy described her dinner look as “Shein.”
“That was my Shein outfit I wore … I cannot,” Jessel exclaimed. “You can call me any insult under the sun, but Shein was like, that was really messed up … it was [a] $2,000 [outfit]. She didn’t even know the brand I was wearing.”
“I respect everyone’s opinion that has good fashion sense, but that coming from Daisy didn’t really make an impact on me,” Jessel added.
