Katy Perry and her former partner Orlando Bloom could be called to testify in a yearslong dispute involving the $15 million Montecito, California, mansion they purchased in 2020.
The pair were named in a new batch of court filings tied to litigation between Carl Westcott, the veteran who founded 1-800-Flowers, and Bernie Gudvi, who manages Perry’s finances.
Westcott previously brought an unsuccessful lawsuit challenging the 2020 sale of the eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom property. He argued that he was incapacitated when the deal was made because he was taking painkillers after surgery.
A judge ruled against Westcott in 2024 and ordered the transaction to proceed. Perry was directed to pay the remaining balance on the home, which is approximately $4.06 million.
In a recent filing seeking an emergency hearing, reviewed by The Daily Mail, Westcott’s attorneys alleged that Gudvi, who oversees Perry’s finances, “has not paid the amount due.”
The Daily Mail contacted representatives for Perry, Bloom, Gudvi and Westcott for comment.
Katy Perry, 41, and former boyfriend Orlando Bloom, 49, could be subpoenaed in the long-running dispute over the $15 million Montecito, California, mansion they purchased in August 2020. The former couple were pictured together at the Vanity Fair Oscars party last year.
Westcott’s lawyers said Gudvi “wired a partial payment of $900,000” on June 30 but still owes the outstanding balance, according to an October 7 filing.
The attorneys asked the court to authorize subpoenas examining Perry, 41, and Bloom, 49, as third parties in the matter.
Westcott’s legal team identified Perry as “Gudvi’s principal responsible for payment” and described Bloom as a managing member of the LLC that took title to the property on May 17, 2024.
The lawyers also argued that Bloom could have information about the assets of his former partner, Perry.
Westcott’s attorneys maintained that trial evidence established Gudvi as Perry’s business manager and the person overseeing her money. They argued that Perry was therefore an appropriate party to examine over the unpaid portion of the purchase price.

In an October 7 response, Gudvi’s attorneys accused Westcott of attempting to harass Perry, Bloom and Gudvi, describing the litigation as misguided leverage in connection with his pending appeals.
Gudvi’s legal team further argued that Westcott’s attorneys had cited no law allowing post-judgment examinations of third parties such as Perry and Bloom.
The attorneys said the unpaid balance remained unresolved while Westcott appeals a June 2026 ruling that ordered him to pay Gudvi a total of $3,415,257.07, plus interest, for attorneys’ fees and costs.
A judge ruled against Westcott in 2024 and ordered the sale of the property to Perry to proceed.
Westcott previously sued unsuccessfully over the 2020 sale, claiming he was incapacitated by painkillers after undergoing surgery at the time of the transaction.
In an October 8 minute order, Judge Joseph Lipner rejected the ex parte application. He said Westcott had “not demonstrated any emergency” and that any further request for relief should be made through a noticed motion.
Perry and Bloom began dating in 2016 and welcomed their daughter, Daisy, in August 2020.
The high-profile couple split in 2025. Perry later began dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that same year.
Perry in September told People of her romance with Bloom: ‘I wouldn’t have stayed in something for nine years if there wasn’t really important things to learn. Each relationship is a teacher, right? I had to let it go so I could move forward.’
She said of her romance with Trudeau: ‘I always wanted this epic legendary love, and I was talking to my therapist about it: Everything in my life is epic, but this is kind of the missing puzzle piece — then it showed up.’
Bloom has since been linked to Swiss model Luisa Laemmel, 28.
