Fitness Influencer Khuslen Khan Allegedly Shot Uber Eats Driver Over Request for His Girlfriend’s Phone Number

A fitness influencer allegedly shot an Uber Eats driver after the driver returned to an apartment complex hoping to get his girlfriend’s phone number.

Khuslen Saruultuya, who is also known as Khuslen Khan, faces charges of attempted felony murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to an arrest affidavit from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office in Florida.

The 33-year-old has pleaded not guilty. His attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The confrontation began in the early hours of Oct. 12, after the Uber Eats driver delivered food to a woman in the lobby of the Pearl Dadeland apartment complex.

According to the affidavit, the driver told police he had briefly spoken with the woman and “took a liking to her.” After completing other deliveries, he returned to the complex about an hour later, hoping to see her again and possibly obtain her phone number.

When he could not find her, the driver went back to his car. That was when Saruultuya allegedly arrived in a silver Corvette.

Saruultuya allegedly got out of the vehicle, pointed a semiautomatic handgun at the driver and ordered him to lie on the ground. The driver said he complied, after which Saruultuya allegedly fired, grazing him on the backside.

While the driver remained on the ground, Saruultuya allegedly hit him in the back of the head with the gun’s handle. The blow caused a two-inch open wound, the affidavit states.

Saruultuya then allegedly told the driver to stand up, pointed the weapon at his head and said, “I am going to kill you.”

The driver told investigators that he heard the woman pleading with Saruultuya, shouting, “Babe, please stop!”

Saruultuya allegedly chased the driver around the car while keeping the gun trained on him. The woman reportedly tried to restrain him.

The driver escaped and went to South Miami Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. A bystander later told police that the couple left the scene after the confrontation.

Investigators linked the Corvette’s license plate to Saruultuya, and the driver later identified him from a police photo lineup.

Saruultuya was arrested at his home. During a subsequent search, police allegedly found large quantities of drugs, including cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms and prescription pills, according to court documents.

He was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where he remains held without bond.

Saruultuya appeared in court for the first time at an Oct. 13 hearing. According to WSVN, Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Mindy S. Glazer read out the drug charges, prompting Saruultuya to respond, “Those are my prescriptions.”
