WASHINGTON — The Trump administration has canceled more than 300,000 visas since President Donald Trump returned to office last year, according to information obtained by The Post.
A State Department official said the visa cancellations were tied to criminal conduct, threats to public safety and immigration-related violations, including fraud and false representations.
The official said at least 4,000 of the revoked visas belonged to foreign nationals involved in or assisting with “birth tourism,” in which visitors travel to the United States to give birth.
“With over 300,000 revocations, the Trump administration has revoked more visas at a faster pace than any administration in history,” State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott said.
“The message is clear: We have zero tolerance for foreigners in the United States on visas who break the law, commit fraud or threaten our national security. We are taking action — and will continue to do so — to protect our borders and keep the nation secure,” Pigott added.

Officials did not immediately disclose the nationalities of the people whose visas were revoked.
The State Department said last month that as many as 250,000 visas had already been canceled since January 2025.
The number of revocations has risen sharply in 2026, following the review of just 23,000 cases by the Bureau of Consular Affairs during the previous year.
Among the visas revoked in 2025, roughly one-quarter involved assault or related offenses. Driving under the influence accounted for another 22%, while theft made up 7% and drug possession, abuse or distribution represented an additional 7%.
