Blue Ivy Carter had fans doing a double take after joining her father, Jay-Z, onstage at SoFi Stadium on Friday, October 23, with many pointing out her striking resemblance to her mother, Beyoncé.
The 14-year-old pianist performed “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents” during the opening night of Jay-Z’s two-night JAŸ-Z30 celebration.
Following the performance, Jay-Z bowed in his daughter’s direction and encouraged the audience to give her a warm welcome.
“Please put your hands together, make a heavenly noise for the multi-talented, the most incredible Blue Ivy Carter,” he told the crowd.
The father and daughter embraced before Blue raised the Roc hand sign and left the stage.
Blue’s musical performance impressed concertgoers, but her appearance also became a major talking point online. She wore a red, white and blue jacket, blue eyeshadow and long golden curls styled half-up and half-down—a look that reminded fans of Beyoncé during her Destiny’s Child era.

“Omg, Blue Ivy is so beautiful,” X user @CELIAYONCE wrote. “She looks exactly like Destiny’s Child era Beyoncé. The resemblance is INSANE!”
Fan account @thejayzsource echoed the reaction, posting: “She look just like Destiny’s Child era Beyonce wow!!!”
Beyoncé proudly watched from a suite, where she cheered alongside fellow Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Videos from the event showed the trio singing and dancing throughout the concert.
Blue has showcased her piano abilities before, performing “Feelin’ It” during Jay-Z’s July 10 concert at Yankee Stadium. She also joined Beyoncé onstage during the Renaissance World Tour in 2023 and the Cowboy Carter Tour in 2025.
In a March interview with GQ, Jay-Z spoke highly of his daughter’s musical talent and said she prefers learning on her own.
“She won’t let us get her a teacher,” he said. “She doesn’t want it to be a job. But she has perfect pitch.”
