When Tom Brady claimed his first Super Bowl victory with the New England Patriots in 2004, he was dating Bridget Moynahan.
The couple soon became a familiar sight at high-profile gatherings, from the Met Gala to Oscar celebrations. With the Blue Bloods actress and the football star appearing together on red carpets, they looked every bit like a Hollywood power couple.
In a 2005 interview with 60 Minutes, Tom spoke warmly about their connection. “I can be myself around her, and there’s not many people I can be myself around,” he said. “It’s fun to be around your best friends who know you well, and she’s someone that I consider one of my very best friends.”
Soon afterward, Tom met Gisele Bündchen. As that new romance began, he received unexpected news: Bridget was pregnant with his child. The revelation quickly became the focus of intense media attention.

“I would have cars following me, and men hiding in the bushes outside my house,” Bridget recalled in a 2019 interview with People. “As a new mother, you want to just protect your child. That kind of attention felt like a threat.”
Bridget welcomed their son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, known as Jack, in August 2007. In the years that followed, she, Tom and Gisele built a supportive co-parenting relationship.
“Tom and I made a decision to raise a child together and we both found partners that not only supported us in raising that child, but also loved our child as if he was their own,” said the actress, who married Andrew Frankel in 2015. “I don’t think you can ask for more than that. My son is surrounded by love.”
