Chad Lowe Lists Home for Sale and Receives $3.25 Million Offer

Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, have listed their Los Angeles home for sale following the death of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona.

The couple placed the 3,239-square-foot Spanish-style property on the market October 16, just over two weeks after Fiona’s death. They have since accepted an offer of $3.249 million, according to TMZ, which reported that it reviewed real estate records.

The home is now under contract, with the sale expected to proceed to closing once the stated contingencies are satisfied within the required time frame.

Lowe, 58, and Painter, 52, purchased the property in March 2025 for $3.15 million. The couple, who made their first public appearance since Fiona’s death at the Santa Barbara wedding of Lowe’s nephew Matthew Lowe, had shared the home with their family.

Located in Los Angeles’ Mar Vista neighborhood, the residence includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms and vaulted ceilings.

According to People, the family held a private celebration of life for Fiona last weekend.

On October 8, Lowe shared a message about faith and the afterlife amid his grief by posting a clip from Irish author Gerry Hussey’s 2025 appearance on Olivia Hunt’s podcast On Healing to his Instagram Stories.

‘We both possess the human and the divine,’ Hussey said in the video. ‘We are connected to everything that is. It just makes sense, and there’s nothing there but peace and love. So when we die, where do we go? We return to a state of peace and love.’

Hussey went on: ‘We both possess the human and the divine, and through consciousness and awareness, and when we awaken the peaceful observer, and we get beyond our physical human emotions, and our physical human needs and the needs of the ego and we just let go, and release all of that, we connect to a feeling. That is the divine frequency, the Christ consciousness.

‘In that moment, and I’m lucky enough to have experienced that multiple times in my life, it all makes absolute sense.

‘You have to just trust. Because when you see the world through the eyes of the human ego, nothing makes sense.

‘But when you ask yourself the deeper, bigger questions and you move beyond human existence and through meditation or something else, you experience the transcendental experience,’ Hussey explained, adding: ‘We are connected to everything that is.’

Lowe made his first public outing since Fiona’s death at his nephew Matthew Lowe’s wedding to Emily Markus in Santa Barbara, California, on October 10.

The Emmy-winning Life Goes On actor attended with his wife and their daughters. The star-studded affair also included guests Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Adam Levine and Katy Perry.
