Control of Congress remains up for grabs as voters head to the polls. Democrats need to flip four Republican-held Senate seats to take control of the chamber, while three additional seats would give them the majority in the House.
The earliest polls closed at 6pm ET, while the final polling places were scheduled to close at 1am ET. The country will then await the results as ballots are counted nationwide to determine whether Republicans or Democrats will hold power.
