Just a day after the dramatic conclusion of Invincible Season 4, it has been officially announced that Steven Yeun will not be returning as the voice of Mark Grayson in the anticipated video game Invincible VS, inspired by the Amazon Prime Video series. While J.K. Simmons will continue to voice Omni-Man and Gillian Jacobs reprises her role as Atom Eve, Yeun’s role has been taken over by a prominent new talent in the voice acting industry.
Aleks Le, best known for his work as the English voice of Sung Jinwoo in Solo Leveling, disclosed on Instagram on April 23 that he has been secretly voicing Invincible in place of Yeun for the past ten months. Fans need not worry, as Yeun will still headline the Amazon Prime Video series Invincible. However, enthusiasts of the series were taken aback by the revelation, having believed they were hearing Yeun in initial previews of Invincible VS, only to be surprised by the disclosure that it was Le all along.
On Thursday, April 23, Aleks Le shared via Instagram that he has been the voice behind Mark Grayson, or Invincible, in all the pre-launch content for Invincible VS, including the trailers. Fans have overwhelmingly praised Le’s performance, noting that his voice is an impeccable fit for the character. In his Instagram post, Le expressed his dedication to the role, stating, “Steven Yeun is my favorite actor, and I’ve meticulously studied his performance, doing my utmost to honor his character.”
Aleks Le Officially Confirms His Role as Mark Grayson’s Voice in New Invincible VS Game
On Thursday, April 23, Aleks Le revealed in an Instagram post that he has been voicing Mark Grayson, better known as Invincible, in all of Invincible VS‘s pre-launch releases, including its trailers. The general fan consensus in response to the announcement is that Le’s voice is a 100% perfect match for Invincible. Le describes his involvement in the project in the post’s caption: “Steven Yeun is my favorite actor & I’ve meticulously studied his performance & am doing my all to honor his character.”
The new Invincible VS 3v3 fighting game is scheduled for release on April 30, 2026. The game will be available to play on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X and S upon release. There are 18 confirmed playable characters (including one original character, Ella Mental) on the base roster, two confirmed DLC characters and two more DLC characters whose identities haven’t been revealed yet.
Announced during the Xbox Summer Showcase livestream in June 2025, Invincible VS is the first game developed by Quarter Up, which is the first in-house development studio under the Skybound Games umbrella. Other gaming ventures in the Invincible franchise include the Invincible: Guarding the Globe mobile game and a visual novel/turn-based RPG hybrid titled Invincible Presents: Atom Eve.
Omni-Man, reprised by Simmons, already happens to be a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1, and Le’s previous work in Street Fighter V and 6 enriches the franchise’s ties to gaming even more now that he’s confirmed as an official member of the Invincible VS cast. As unexpected as the surprise reveal was, Le’s voice acting history has quietly laid the groundwork for his latest superhero role through a clear track record of success with similar roles.
Daredevil & Solo Leveling Paved the Way For Aleks Le to Join Invincible’s Cast
Before landing the role of Invincible‘s titular hero in the new video game adaptation, Aleks Le earned his hero stripes as a Marvel hero by voicing Daredevil in Marvel Rivals, the massively successful hero shooter released in 2024. Daredevil was recently added to the game as a playable character in late 2025, a few months after the release of Daredevil: Born Again, the highly anticipated continuation of the 2015 Daredevil TV series.
This role solidified Le’s superhero status at the perfect time, yet his best previous work put him on the map with anime fans first. Le’s lovable anime roles as Dandadan‘s Jin ‘Jiji’ Enjoji and Demon Slayer‘s Zenitsu Agatsuma are an active part of the voice actor’s career and projects that fans worldwide are excited to continue watching him in. However, Solo Leveling is still the biggest anime series working in Le’s favor.
Ever since debuting as Solo Leveling‘s Sung Jinwoo, Le has only gotten more popular with fans. Solo Leveling already enjoys the top spot on Crunchyroll as the most highly rated anime on the streaming platform after only two seasons, and there’s no doubt that the anime’s future has even more excitement in store for Le’s most popular character. For now, Le’s biggest fans can look forward to enjoying his latest role as yet another iconic hero in Invincible VS.
