Share and Follow

Meto Komori and Yuhi Chito, who are well-known VTubers under the VSPO! banner—a Japanese initiative that combines virtual entertainment with the world of esports—have recently been suspended. This action stems from “conduct that partially violated the terms of their contracts,” as detailed in announcements made via two official website posts and a statement on X, dated April 30, 2026.

Interestingly, the articles clarify that the incidents involving Komori and Chito are not connected. On the social media platform X, the organization elaborated:

Both Meto Komori and Yuhi Chito have been suspended for two months to allow them time for “deep reflection on their actions and a reassessment of their behavior.” The articles also conveyed that no further specifics would be revealed at the current time.

Following the announcement, the VTubers have publicly apologized for their misconduct, opting to keep the exact reasons for their suspension undisclosed.

Both Meto Komori and Yuhi Chito are suspended for a two-month period for them to “reflect deeply on their actions and re-examine their behaviour.” Further, the website articles stated that additional details would not be disclosed at this time:

“As this matter concerns contractual provisions, we will refrain from disclosing further details.”

Since the announcement, both VTubers have come forth and apologized for their actions, while choosing not to share what got them into trouble in the first place.

YouTuber and industry reporter More Kazahana shared a nine-minute video covering the drama between Komori, Chito, and VSPO!.

In the end, he summarized all the official information available to the public currently:

“The information that we know, the official information that we know is that, you know, this is just some disciplinary action, um, towards some violations of the contract, whatever violations they may be, right? We’re not sure, but as I said, it does seem like a pretty harsh punishment.”

In other news, VTuber Mimi Yanagi was reportedly arrested in the UK for possessing her own drawings of anime-style characters.
