In a chilling incident that unfolded overnight, patrons at a bustling Melbourne bar found themselves inadvertently caught in a drive-by shooting. The Emerson, a popular nightlife spot located in South Yarra, became the target when a vehicle pulled up to its Commercial Road address and unleashed a volley of gunfire just before 2 a.m.
Fortunately, no one sustained injuries during the attack. Despite the chaos, the shooter managed to escape the scene swiftly, and it’s still unclear how many individuals were inside the car during the brazen act.

The incident has left the community shaken, raising concerns about safety in the area as investigators work diligently to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
It's unknown how many people were in the car at the time, but it fled the scene.
The gunman remains on the run.
A heavy police presence remains at the scene this morning where part of Commercial Road remains blocked off.
The nightclub was targeted by arsonists less than two weeks ago.
