The moment a 150km/h gust of wind knocks over a campervan with a holidaying family inside has been captured in terrifying dashcam footage.
The fully-loaded vehicle was blown over on New Zealand’s Mount Cook Road, which leads deep into the southern alps and the country’s tallest mountain, Aoraki, at 2pm on Sunday.
The dramatic video then shows the 7.5 metre long camper dragging over the surface of the road, pushed by gale force winds as wild weather battered the South Island.
A sedan traveling closely behind had to swerve off the road to avoid being hit by the sliding camper.
