The four-year-old was last seen playing on his family’s homestead, about 40km south of Yunta, at 5pm last Saturday.
Gus is described as Caucasian, with long, blonde, curly hair.
He was wearing a grey sun hat, a cobalt blue t-shirt with a yellow Minion character on the front, light grey long pants, and boots.
Police and emergency services have searched the area since Saturday night, but have not been able to find the boy.
Aerial searches have continued throughout the nights, while ground searches in daylight hours have included SES, trail bikes, ATVs, dogs, and a drone.
Water police and mounted police joined the search yesterday as it expanded to include dams and tanks on the property.
Gus’s family issued a statement yesterday.
“We are devastated by the disappearance of our beloved Gus on Saturday afternoon. This has come as a shock to our family and friends, and we are struggling to comprehend what has happened,” the family said.
“Gus’s absence is felt in all of us, and we miss him more than words can express. Our hearts are aching, and we are holding onto hope that he will be found and returned to us safely.”
The family thanked police and volunteers and asked for privacy as the search continued.
