Residents living near the Grampians National Park have been urged to “leave immediately” as an out-of-control bushfire continues to burn.
The emergency warning covers Glenisla, Mooralla, Rocklands, and Woohlpooer, all located in Victoria’s south-west.

The fire is one of several currently burning across the state, and it is one of five active fires within the national park.

Emergency services said a “significant increase in fire activity overnight” had caused the fire to spread in multiple directions.

While the fire activity has temporarily subsided, authorities still expect the fire to impact private land on the western edge at various points between Hoffmans Road and Woohlpooer Road this morning.

The fire is currently heading north-west towards the Henty Highway, which remains closed from Cavendish to Horsham.

“Leaving immediately is the safest option, before conditions become too dangerous. Emergency services may not be able to help you if you decide to stay,” the alert said.
