Police today circled the campus but their official line was “there are no safety concerns or imminent risks”.

Despite that, students say their teachers told them to be prepared.

“They were like stay under your desks, we’ll turn the lights off and we gotta keep quiet until we get the all clear,” one student said.

In a letter, Mount Lawley Senior High School told parents of “online content” about the school but made no mention of a threat of shooting.

Police continue to investigate.

Anyone with information can contacted Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
