The couple has announced that they are expecting their fourth child in July.
They shared the exciting news that they will be having a baby boy.
“We eagerly await his arrival in late July,” read a statement shared on Instagram.
“During this thrilling and busy period, we are especially thankful for the military doctors who provide excellent care for our family, as well as the dedicated staff members who help us balance serving the country with enjoying a wonderful life with our children.”
The vice president and second lady are already parents to three children: Ewan, 8, Vivek, 5, and Mirabel, 4.
The Vances wed in 2014 after meeting at Yale Law School.
The White House congratulated the couple on the official X account.
“The most pro-family administration in history!” the post read.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is also expecting a baby in May.
It is unusual for presidents or vice presidents to have children while serving in office.
John F. Kennedy was the last president to have a child while in office.
His son Patrick was born in 1963 but died from complications two days later.
Cleveland was 49 when he married his wife Frances, 21, while he was president.
JD Vance will be the first vice president to have a baby while in office.
