A three-year-old girl has been killed after she was struck by a ute in south-east Queensland.

Tragedy struck the community of Caboolture in Moreton Bay when a young child lost her life after being struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. as a Nissan Navara utility was turning right onto a street. The Forensic Crash Unit is currently conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.

The toddler, who was reportedly walking with her family at the time of the accident, sustained critical injuries and sadly succumbed to them at the scene. The sudden loss has deeply affected those involved, with two women, both in their 20s and 40s, experiencing significant emotional distress and requiring hospitalization.

In addition, a male toddler was also taken to the hospital, though thankfully he is reported to be in stable condition. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of vigilance on the roads, particularly in areas frequented by children and families.

Two women, aged in their 20s and 40s, were taken to hospital due to emotional distress.

The driver of the Nissan, a 49-year-old woman, remained at the scene and assisted police with their investigation.
