A tragic accident in Sydney’s western suburbs has resulted in one fatality and the hospitalization of five others, including two children.
The crash occurred when an SUV veered off the road and collided with a tree shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday.
The accident took place on Stuart Road in Dharruk, situated approximately 45 kilometers from Sydney’s central business district.
Emergency responders arrived promptly to discover a man who had been partially thrown from the vehicle.
Authorities believe the deceased was a passenger in the SUV, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five other people were injured; two men, a woman, and two toddlers.
They were taken to Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for treatment.
The adults are reportedly in a serious but stable condition.
The children are stable.
Police have established a crime scene and Crash Investigation Unit (CIU) are investigating the incident.
