“We had numerous boots on the ground, and it was truly remarkable,” he expressed during his address at a House GOP retreat in Washington, DC.

Trump shared various operational insights with Republican lawmakers, noting that the US strategically cut power to key areas of Venezuela just prior to their entry.

This maneuver allowed the military to gain the upper hand as they advanced toward Maduro’s stronghold.

“And consider this, not a single life was lost,” Trump remarked.

“And on the other side, a lot of people were killed.”

Trump went on to criticise Democrats for airing concerns about the decision to capture Maduro, complaining that few in the party were congratulating him.

“At some point they should say, you know, ‘You did a great job,’” he said.

“‘Thank you, congratulations.’ Wouldn’t it be good?”
