Emergency responders were dispatched to Hillier Road in Hillier shortly before 8 PM following an incident where a man was struck by a vehicle.

According to 9News, eyewitnesses reported a heated dispute involving a sizable group of individuals just before the pedestrian was hit by a speeding car.

The vehicle in question allegedly fled the scene immediately, and authorities have yet to track down both the car and its driver.

The victim, identified as a 25-year-old man from Andrews Farm, sustained severe injuries and was quickly transported to the hospital.

Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries soon after his arrival.

Police have urged any witnesses or people with information to come forward as they search for the driver involved in the alleged hit-and-run.
