Millions of Australians will today pause to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country at Anzac Day services.

Many states and territories restrict their trading hours to allow workers and business owners to pay their respects to past and present Australian soldiers and defence personnel.

Here’s a quick state-by-state guide about whether some of Australia’s biggest retailers will be open on Anzac Day.

NSW, ACT – All stores will open after 1pm.

Victoria, and NT – Most stores will open after 1pm.

Queensland, SA, and WA – Most stores will be closed today.

Tasmania – All stores will open after 12.30pm.

Customers are otherwise encouraged to check the Woolworths website for specific stores.

NSW, Victoria & ACT – All stores will be open from 1pm

NT – All stores will open after 12pm with reduced trading hours.

Queensland – All stores will be closed on today.

SA – Most stores will be closed except Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, Berri, Port Augusta, Mount Barker, Adelaide Rundle Place, Whyalla, Murray Bridge Green, Mount Gambier, and Victor Harbour.

Tasmania – All stores will open after 12:30pm and operate with reduced hours

WA – Most stores will be closed, except Vasse, Busselton, Pinjarra, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Karratha, Chinatown, Kununurra, Tom Price, Albany, South Hedland, Orana, Eaton Fair and Busselton Central will be open with reduced trading hours.

NSW, Victoria and ACT – ALDI stores will open on Anzac day with customers advised to check individual stores’s opening hours.

QLD, SA and WA – ALDI stores opening hours will vary.

NSW – All stores are open with reduced trade excluding Liquorland West Gosford which will be closed.

Victoria, NT, ACT and Tasmania – All stores will be open with reduced trading hours.

Queensland, SA and WA – Many stores will be closed.

All Dan Murphy Stores will open at 1pm except for NSW and ACT sites which will open at 1.15pm.

The majority of BWS stores nationally will trade from 1pm.

NSW, NT, TAS, and VIC will open at reduced hours.

SA – Stores will be closed except for Renmark, Port Augusta, Victor Harbor, Murray Bridge, and Mount Gambier which will open at reduced hours.

QLD and WA – All stores will be closed.

Queensland and WA – All Kmart locations will be closed.

NSW and ACT – Most locations will open after 1.30pm.

Victoria – mMost stores will open after 1pm.

SA – Many stores will open after 1pm, but many locations will stay closed. Customers are advised to check online.

All Bunnings Trade Centres will be closed nationally. (Nine)

Victoria, NSW, NT and ACT – All stores will be open from 1pm.

SA and WA – All Stores will open from 12pm.

Tasmania – All stores will open from 12.30pm.

Queensland – All stores will be closed.

Additionally, all Bunnings Trade Centres will be closed nationally.

NSW, Victoria, and ACT - Westfield locations will open from 1pm.

Queensland, SA, and WA – all centres will be closed.
