Season 9 of Summer House started recently, and so far, fans say it’s living up to the hype left by the previous installment.

Of course, Amanda Batula and her husband, Kyle Cooke, are back for another round of summertime fun. Recently, she opened up about their planned move to New Jersey they’ve been teasing for quite some time now. The Bravo star also revealed where she stands regarding following Lindsay Hubbard‘s footsteps and starting a family.

Fans of Summer House will recall that Amanda and Kyle married in 2021. Since then, their relationship has been going strong, and she also works with his Loverboy beverage brand. However, in more recent interviews, she said she’d taken a small step back as she’s also busy with her swimsuit line. They initially discussed moving to New Jersey during the 8th season of the hit show. 

According to Bravo, Amanda recently provided the latest on their anticipated move. She said to The Daily Dish, “We’re still in the same apartment. Ultimately, I think we I think got a little off course. We were actually looking for more like an investment home.”

She continued, “Last year, I think it just kind of got simplified down to people thinking we were looking for a house in New Jersey, and we were ready to move.”

Still, she insisted that she for sure wants to call New Jersey home by saying, “That is where I want to ultimately live.”

As for why she wants to move, the Summer House star previously said, “I’ve been wanting to move out of the apartment forever, and I know that we’re not gonna move out out permanently, but I really want somewhere to be able to escape to. Somewhere in New Jersey to, like, have all the natural light and the outdoor space.”

She went on, “Where we live right now, I don’t feel comfortable. I’m, like, dying for a backyard. I want to sip coffee on my back deck. I want dew on my grass. Like, there are so many things that I just crave, and you don’t get in a city.”

She and Kyle have previously disagreed a bit about their timeline. He has said he wants to wait until they have a child, whereas she would like to be settled before starting a family. 

According to Entertainment Now, Amanda also recently gave an update to E News about starting a family. She said to the outlet, “I feel like I’m a child and for me to have a baby would be illegal. Like I’d be a teen mom. It just doesn’t seem right yet. I have to feel like I’m my age and I’m not there. If I got pregnant right now, I’d be afraid to tell my parents.”

This comes after years of both Amanda and Kyle insisting they weren’t ready to become parents. However, Kyle said in October that their moving forward with starting a family was “pretty imminent.” Still, he also said, “But I’m trying to sort a few things out.”
