The Weakest Link's Anne Robinson gives blunt four-word response to Queen Camilla rumours

Anne Robinson has issued a blunt three-word response to a question about her rumoured relationship with Queen Camilla’s ex-husband.

As the steely-eyed former host of The Weakest Link, Anne was known for her sharp tongue and even earned the not-so-flattering moniker of the “Queen of Mean”.

Yet, it would appear that this persona sometimes extends into reality, especially when it comes to one topic in particular – her rumoured relationship with Andrew Parker Bowles.

In an interview with the i, Anne, 80, was asked if she was indeed involved with Queen Camilla’s former husband, to which she snapped: “None of your business.”

It was reported in May last year that Anne was dating the former British Army officer, with the presenter confirming the revelation in an interview with Saga Magazine.

When she was asked about the rumour at the time, she said: “Yes. Full Stop. Mind your own business.” Queen Camilla, 77, married Mr Parker Bowles, 85, in 1973 and went on to have two children.

After divorcing in 1995, Camilla married King Charles a decade later. Meanwhile, Anne was previously married to newspaper executive Charles Wilson and later to John Penrose.

Perhaps fuelling the speculation, the Queen’s son, the food writer Tom Parker Bowles, is due to make an appearance at a one-off stage production of The Weakest Link.

Hosted by Anne, various celebrities will square off against each other to raise cash for the host’s local primary school, with other famous names including Toyah Willcox, Kay Burley and Boris Johnson’s dad, Stanley.

Anne announced her departure from the much-loved BBC quiz show back in 2011, with the host appearing on more than 1,600 episodes from 2000 to 2012.

In 2011, she told the BBC that it had been a “hard decision” and her stint on the show had “been superb”. Yet, it wouldn’t be the end of The Weakest Link, as it returned eight years later, fronted by Romesh Ranganathan.

Speaking to the Mail about the upcoming return of The Weakest Link, Anne explained that it was to help Hatherop Primary move from “leaking prefab classrooms” and into a “proper building”.

On her return to hosting duties, she added: “I’ve doubled my Pilates classes and am training to stand upright.”
