Clarkson’s Farm star Harriet Cowan has revealed what the motoring journalist is really like when the cameras aren’t rolling. The 25-year-old farmer joined the Amazon Prime show last year when her co-star, Kaleb Cooper, was forced to pull out of part of filming to complete his UK tour. It quickly became an instant hit with fans of the reality show, introducing Jeremy Clarkson to the world of TikTok and never fearing to put him in his place when working on the Oxfordshire farm.

Harriet Cowan, known for her role on “Clarkson’s Farm,” has shared insights into what Jeremy Clarkson is truly like away from the spotlight. The 25-year-old farmer joined the hit Amazon Prime series last year when Kaleb Cooper, her co-star, had to step back from filming to embark on a UK tour. Harriet quickly became a fan favorite on the reality show, often seen guiding Clarkson through the intricacies of the Oxfordshire farm and bringing his antics to the world of TikTok.

Since her departure at the series’ end, Harriet has continued to thrive, evolving from her role as Clarkson’s farmhand to that of a freelance farmer. Her upcoming appearance at The Great British Farm Fest, an event that combines agricultural expertise with lively entertainment, will reunite her with former colleagues. This gathering promises to be a highlight for fans of the show and those interested in farming.

Before this reunion, Harriet has opened up about her experience working with the well-known motoring journalist. She addressed public perceptions of Clarkson, often seen as outspoken and controversial. Reflecting on their time together, she noted, “I know what a lot of people think about him: that he’s very opinionated and says what he wants and isn’t nice to people.”

“Even now, he will keep in touch, and if I ever need any advice about fame, because that’s the world we live in now, he’s always there to give it to me, which is really nice.” On the brutally candid farming show, viewers get an insight into farming life at Diddly Squat Farm and his relationship with his long-term partner, Lisa Hogan.

When reflecting on her time working in Chipping Norton, Cowan highlighted the Irish model’s vital role in keeping the farm going during difficult times. “I always say that Lisa is pretty much the life and soul of the party,” she gushed.

“If the farm’s having a bad day, like it rained all day and you’re down in the dumps, Lisa will definitely cheer you up. Whereas Jeremy is known for his wacky ideas and schemes that he thinks are going to help the farm.

“It’s a hard place to work farming, but Lisa is the light and the energy of that farm; she brings the fun. Obviously, Jeremy, in his own way, has a laugh with you, and he loves all his inventions. But I think he likes the contrast between his way and Lisa’s way; they really make it work.”

Lisa’s positive spirit is in high demand at the Oxfordshire farm, as the team has endured several major blows to the business over the last few years. In his recent column in The Sunday Times, he admitted: “We know for a fact we won’t make money on wheat and barley.

“Last month, when I would normally be out in the fields planting the spring barley and the durum wheat, Cheerful Charlie, my land agent and all-round font of wisdom, told me that this year there’s absolutely no point, because even if the weather is perfect and I make no mistakes, we are guaranteed to lose money. It is a mathematical certainty.”

These huge financial hits to working farms have forced many businesses to close due to rising living costs and a lack of government support. In the last 12 months, the Office for National Statistics recorded 6,365 agricultural businesses closing, the highest number since quarterly records began in 2017.

Despite the struggles that come with the job, Cowan insisted that she wouldn’t have it any other way and thanked Jeremy for allowing her to follow her dreams. She gushed: “After the show, I just decided to follow my dreams and do the things that I enjoy, which are farming and doing my social media.

“One day, I hope to own my own farm, and that’s something which I wouldn’t have been able to do if it weren’t for Jeremy and the show. I’m so incredibly grateful.”
