Brooklyn Beckham Responds to Gordon Ramsay’s Critique Amid Ongoing Family Tensions

Brooklyn Beckham has decided to stop following Gordon Ramsay on social media, as confirmed by Page Six. This move comes after the “Hell’s Kitchen” chef made candid remarks regarding the ongoing turmoil within the Beckham family.

Despite this, Ramsay continues to keep tabs on the young aspiring chef on Instagram. Brooklyn’s decision to unfollow was initially reported by the Daily Mail, following Ramsay’s pointed criticism of Brooklyn’s intense focus on his wife, Nicola Peltz.

Attempts to reach representatives for both Brooklyn and Ramsay for comments on Saturday did not yield any responses.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Ramsay remarked, “It’s hard, isn’t it, when you’re infatuated? Love is blind. They say it for that reason,” reflecting on the situation with a note of empathy.

Describing the family tensions as a “difficult situation,” Ramsay also suggested that Brooklyn, at 26, might be eager to prove his independence.

“It’s such a good thing to do,” he told the outlet. “But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that.”

Ramsey also defended Brooklyn’s parents, telling the outlet that “Victoria is upset, and with every right to be upset” amid the feud, which saw Brooklyn claim his mother “danced inappropriately” with him at his 2022 Palm Beach nuptials to Peltz.

The “Master Chef” star — who is a longtime family friend and attended the wedding — added, “I know 24/7, seven days a week, just how much David loves Brooklyn.”

Prior to his bombshell announcement that he doesn’t “want to reconcile” with the former Spice Girl and soccer star, Brooklyn unfollowed many of his family members on social media in December.

Ramsay, however, claimed to still have a good relationship with his best friends’ son. “Brooklyn and I have messaged a little bit, our relationship is solid,” he told the Sun. “I love him – his heart is incredible.”

“I just want Brooklyn to take a moment to himself. And remember: you’re half mum, half dad. And you’re an amazing young man,” he said in part.

“But, boy, they’ve done more for you than anyone did in your entire life.”

A source told the Daily Mail on Saturday that Brooklyn and Nicola, 31, “clearly don’t want any criticism at all.”

“They just don’t want to hear any negativity about themselves,” a friend of the Ramsays and Beckhams told the news outlet. “They must hate being talked about unless it’s gushing. Maybe they don’t like the truth.”

Brooklyn took to Instagram Stories in January to address the ongoing rift with his family members. In the six-page screed, the photographer wrote, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

He also accused his parents of controlling “narratives in the press about our family,” engaging in “inauthentic relationships,” and “trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship” with Peltz.
