Chanel Ayan Addresses Brynn Whitfield’s Allegations Against Ubah Hassan on RHONY and Tells Her to Stop “Producing,” Plus Brynn Hints at “Mistakes” in New Post Ahead of Birthday

Chanel Ayan defended her cousin Ubah Hassan against Real Housewives of New York co-star Brynn Whitfield. According to Ubah, what Brynn “did to my family” is “crazy,” as she told the 39-year-old to stop “producing.” Meanwhile, Brynn wrote a birthday post hinting at her “mistakes.”

On the recent finale, Brynn stated that Ubah knew about Brynn’s past sexual assault while continuing to suggest that Brynn slept with someone to get on the show. Ubah denied that Brynn ever told her, and castmates later claimed that Brynn lied about what Ubah knew.

“I would like to pay for Brynn’s therapy, just so she can get better,” said Ubah’s cousin and fellow Bravoleb Chanel on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. “Because what you did to my family is really crazy.”

“I wanted to say a lot [more] now, but Ubah just wouldn’t let me,” Chanel added. “This could have ruined [Ubah’s] career, could have ruined her business. Could ruin who she is. Because it’s not something simple. It’s … not a joke.”

She compared it to “Phaedra [Parks’] situation” in season nine of Real Housewives of Atlanta, which was when Phaedra spread a rumor that Kandi Burruss and her husband allegedly planned on drugging Porsha Williams to sexually take advantage of her. Phaedra was later fired from the show.

“[Ubah]’s not the type of person that will hold grudges. She’s not the type of person that wishes bad on people,” Chanel added. “If [Brynn] comes back, I just think she should be herself and stop … producing.”

Around the same time, Brynn wrote a post reflecting on the past year in honor of her upcoming birthday.

“In the past year I froze my eggs, got a puppy, laughed a lot, cried a lot,” said Brynn in a January 28 Instagram post, which included a video of fun moments. “[I] cofounded a company w/ people who now feel like family, chopped my hair off, [and] made mistakes.”

“[I] started to learn how to be vulnerable and ask for help; realized how precious life really is and how blessed I am to have around me so many people who know my heart,” she went on. “I feel like the only thing I didn’t do was fall in love.”

“I only have 10 DAYS to figure out what to wish for this coming year,” she added. “But in the meantime I’m gonna feel grateful for all the many, many wishes that did come true.”
