Death In Paradise's Josephine Jobert addresses if she'll be in spin-off | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Since her debut in the show’s second season, Josephine Jobert’s character has been a fan favourite, with her witty sense of humour and impressive detective skills.

However, with the announcement of a spin-off series on the horizon, many fans were left wondering whether the 37-year-old actress will be a part of the new show.

On her Instagram Story today, Josephine responded to a direct message on the subject from one of her followers.

They typed: “Just a random question, is there any possibility that Florence will show up on Beyond Paradise?”

In response, Josephine said: “Hello, random but good.

“Yes, there’s a possibility.

“We talked about it with production but nothing has been confirmed at all.

“It’s not planned to happen at the moment.

“But maybe one day. I’d love it,” she added.

The Death in Paradise spin-off, titled Beyond Paradise, was announced in 2022, and it is set to follow the story of DI Neville Parker (played by Ralf Little) and his team as they investigate a new case on the island of Saint Marie.

While the show’s creators have not revealed much about the spin-off’s plot, it is expected to have a similar format and tone to the original series.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Josephine previously revealed that she was not sure if she would return to the series.

She also stated that she would be open to returning to the show if the storyline and her character’s involvement made sense.

France-based actress Josephine previously quit the programme five years ago after struggling to cope with the amount of travel involved with filming her part.

She explained: “You know, I had all my time on the show with my five years.

“We were in Guadeloupe for five months. It’s great, but it’s quite long, and being away from everything and friends and family, I was struggling a bit.

“I thought I gave everything I could to Florence and I did everything I could to tell her story,” she added to OK magazine.

Josephine left the show for her own reasons, as she wanted to focus on different career avenues
