George Kittle recently shared his excitement about attending a highly publicized event: the Madison Square Garden wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
The San Francisco 49ers tight end opened up during his appearance on the “Unbuttoned” podcast on Thursday, July 23, where he delighted in recounting the details of what has been hailed as the celebrity wedding of the year.
“The entire event was simply phenomenal,” George, 32, shared with Chris Simms during the show. “I had an absolute blast.”
George was not alone in celebrating the joyous occasion; he was accompanied by his wife, Claire, as well as his parents, Bruce and Jan. Claire’s mother, Shelly, was also on the guest list, thanks to the close bonds Swift and Kelce have forged with the family during their interactions at Tight End University.
In the wake of the glamorous wedding, George Kittle and his wife Claire took to Instagram to offer their heartfelt congratulations to the newlyweds. The couple shared a family photo captioned, “It was a family affair. Congratulations on finding your exclamation point!” Both George and Claire, celebrating their shared 32nd year, posted this message on Sunday, July 5, as they wished the best to Travis and Taylor.
“Travis likes Bruce a lot, but then the moms got invited because of Tight End U last year, where they hung out with Taylor for a long time, and she just really liked them,” George explained. “So that was kind of fun to have like a family outing at Madison Square Garden.”
Swift and Kelce tied the knot at the famed New York City venue on July 3, with a star-studded guest list in attendance.

The Grammy winner and NFL player each wore bespoke designs from Christian Dior Haute Couture for their special day.
“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the bride and groom,” a rep for Swift revealed via press release at the time. “This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. [Both of] their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.”

After Swift and Kelce said their “I do’s,” George and Claire sent the newlyweds a personalized congratulatory message via social media.
“It was a family affair. Congratulations on finding your exclamation point!” George and Claire wrote via Instagram on July 5. “JusT&T Married ❤️. We love y’all!”
The Kittles’ wedding tribute was a reference to Swift’s own phrasing about her now-husband during her debut appearance on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast last year.
“Travis, he’s just a vibe booster in everyone’s life that he’s in,” Swift said on an August 2025 episode of the podcast as she gushed over Kelce. “He’s, like, a human exclamation point. He’s like when you take a picture on your phone and you push the ‘enhance color’ button, that’s what you do to every text.”
