Gia also delved into her experience filming the second season of “Next Gen NYC,” sharing how she’s evolved her approach to being in the spotlight.

For many years, the show focused on the ‘war’ between Teresa and Melissa’s respective families. The new season recently began filming, and will feature several newbies.
On Reality Nightcap, Gia was asked if she’s worried about the show stirring up drama between Teresa and Melissa.
“Honestly, you know, I feel like time heals all wounds,” she said. “And also as you get older, I think you really just realize how special and also sensitive time is and how it shouldn’t be taken for granted.”
“I truly believe with everything in me that this will never happen again, them fighting,” she continued. “And I do not think that they would ever make it get to that point again. We are all in such a good place. … It’s just not going to happen.”
In an interview with Us Weekly, Gia teased the new season of RHONJ.
“It’s been so fun,” said the 25-year-old. “I filmed a little bit last week, and it’s great. I mean, just the energy in the room, and just the feeling of everything is so different, especially now that everyone is good, and we’re not fighting anymore. .. It’s just such a different energy and vibe going into it, which I think is making it a lot more fun. It’s honestly beautiful to see. … It’s like a breath of fresh air.”
Gia then shared that she changed her own approach to filming season 2 of Next Gen NYC.
“[I filmed with] just more [of] an open mind,” she explained. “I was really excited to just dive deeper into my life, so I think I just approached it with my guard a little more down than I did season 1.”
“I think you find Gia finding herself, honestly, and basically kind of coming to the terms that it’s OK to leave [her mom’s house], and that my family will be OK without me,” said the star, who recently moved into her own apartment. “I think that was a big pill for me to swallow. It wasn’t that I couldn’t move out, I could, and I had the means to. It’s never really a rush in Italian culture to move out of your parents’ house, so that was for starters, and then two, I just was so comfortable being there for my family. I am a person that my family relies heavily on, so it was just a little nerve-wracking for me to leave the house, but … it’s pretty amazing.”
