New York Comic Con took an unexpected turn Thursday when “Helluva Boss” actor Brandon Rogers confronted a heckler and warned that he would jump the barrier and “end” him.
The unidentified audience member repeatedly shouted over the Prime Video animated series’ cast, interrupting the panel at the Javits Center six times and throwing the event off track.
The disruption began while series creator Vivienne Medrano was addressing fans on the convention’s Main Stage.
In video shared on Instagram, Medrano initially responded with a lighthearted remark: “Thank you, good energy to start off.”
When the shouting continued, Rogers—who provides the voice of Blitzo—quickly lost patience.
“You need to shut the f–k up right now. I swear to God I’m going to jump over this fence and end you. It’s not cute,” Rogers said.
He then defended Medrano, saying she had been sharing “a really sweet story” before adding, “This is f—ing Comic-Con, guys. I’m sorry.”
The attendee’s exact comments were not clear, but the repeated heckling pushed Rogers to stand up and move toward the front of the stage.
“You need to get the f— out right now or I will make you leave,” the actor told the disruptive fan.
Rogers eventually returned to his seat, but not before turning his attention to event personnel.
“Isn’t there someone in a vest? Bulletproof one, maybe?” he asked.
The heckler later disrupted the panel again while voice actor Vivian Nixon was speaking about motherhood.

“Is anyone working at this f—ing event? Can someone please get this motherf—er the hell out of here? I swear to God,” Rogers said.
One fan who attended the “Helluva Boss” panel said the individual was ultimately removed from the venue.
“I was there for the panel and this guy was just yelling nonsense. I do believe they ended up kicking him out,” the fan wrote on Instagram.
ReedPop, the company behind New York Comic Con, confirmed that a disturbance had taken place and admitted that the response was slower than it should have been.
“We are aware of a repeated disturbance from a fan in the audience during Thursday’s ‘Helluva Boss’ panel,” a ReedPop spokesperson told Variety.
“While the situation was addressed after the panel, action was not taken swiftly enough, and we apologize to the panelists, moderator, and fans in attendance for the disruption.”
The spokesperson added that ReedPop is implementing measures to ensure similar incidents are handled more quickly at future events.
“Helluva Boss” is an adult animated series that began on YouTube and centers on demons who operate a contract-killing business in Hell.
The panel featured cast members Rogers, Nixon, Harvey Guillén, Erica Lindbeck, Bryce Pinkham and Richard Steven Horvitz, along with moderator Perri Nemiroff.
The show has also featured guest appearances from Norman Reedus, Kesha and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Jinkx Monsoon.
New York Comic Con runs through Sunday at the Javits Center, drawing stars including Nicolas Cage, Hayden Christensen, Sebastian Stan, Rosario Dawson and “Game of Thrones” alums Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
