Season 6 of The Kardashians kicked off with the first episode featuring a reunion between Khloé Kardashian and her ex-husband, Lamar Odom. In her 2025-launched podcast, Khloé in Wonderland, the reality TV star said her divorce from Lamar was still “harder” than handling Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandals.
We can’t blame Khloé. At one point during their messy divorce, she had to support Lamar emotionally and financially. After the latter retired from the NBA in 2014, he got embroiled in troubles related to his drug addiction, including a near-death experience at a brothel. But how exactly did it affect his fortune? Here’s how much he’s worth now.

Lamar Odom has an estimated net worth of $30 million as of February 2025. It’s not much, considering that he played for 14 seasons in the NBA and earned a total of $110 million in on-court income alone, per Forbes.
Here’s how much Lamar Odom has made from his NBA contracts:
- Los Angeles Clippers (1999–2003): $11.5 million
- Miami Heat (2003–2004): $9.96 million
- Los Angeles Lakers (2004–2011): $77.47 million
- Dallas Mavericks (2011–2012): $8.9 million
- Los Angeles Clippers (2012–2013): $8.2 million
Interestingly, when asked how much he’d spent on drugs in 2019, the retired athlete said, “Probably $100 million.” When Khloé filed for divorce from Lamar in 2013, he was said to be worth $65 million.
Years following Lamar’s near-death experience, which woke him up from his substance abuse issues, he talked about “living with regrets” after the consequences of living in excess.
“All that time, I missed the game from making the wrong decisions off the court,” he reflected. “I wish I had all that back now. You know what I mean? But you got to learn to live with regrets.”

In 2015, Lamar was found unconscious in a brothel in Nevada, where he reportedly spent $75,000 in four days and two sex workers were “obligated to be 24/7 with him.” It was three months after he and Khloé signed their divorce. But the Good American founder paused the proceedings to care for her ex following his hospitalization.
By April 2016, a source told Us Weekly that Khloé was still providing both emotional and financial support during Lamar’s recovery from his near-death experience. The former Clippers player had a cocktail of drugs in his system, which later caused long-term health issues. In 2019, he said he had “horrible memory loss” and “poo” balance.
