Bijou Phillips and her partner, Jamie Mazur, continue to thrive together following her legal separation from Danny Masterson.
An exclusive source revealed to Us Weekly that, “Their relationship has evolved into a relaxed and effortless connection. There’s no pressure for a serious commitment, and they enjoy each other’s company whenever it suits their schedules.”
The insider further described both Phillips, 45, and Mazur, 44, as “free spirits with a very relaxed demeanor.”
Although Phillips remains at the farm she shared with Masterson in Santa Ynez, California, Mazur is attempting to sell his Bel Air residence and often spends his time in Malibu, according to the source.
Us Weekly has reached out to Phillips’ lawyer and Mazur’s rep for comment.
Us broke the news of the couple’s romance in June 2024, eight months after Phillips filed for divorce from Masterson, 49, on the heels of the That ’70s Show alum being sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for raping two women in 2003.
“Jamie is a great guy and has been there for her through this difficult time,” a source close to Mazur, who cofounded the fashion brand RE/DONE, said at the time.
Mazur was previously engaged to former Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio, with whom he shares two children: 17-year-old daughter Anja and 13-year-old son Noah.
“Bijou was friends with Alessandra many years ago, and that’s how [she and Mazur] knew each other,” an insider told Us in June 2024. “Jamie reached out to Bijou once he heard the news of Danny and wanted to make sure she was doing OK.”
Phillips has an 11-year-old daughter, Fianna, with Masterson. The Almost Famous actress obtained full custody of Fianna after the disgraced actor went to prison and recently filed a request to change the preteen’s last name to her own.
“Bijou’s main focus is her daughter,” a source recently told Us. “Bijou is extremely protective of her. Bijou doesn’t want her to grow up feeling defined by her dad’s past or have other kids label her because of it. It’s been a hard few years for all of them.”
The source added that Phillips “wants to separate herself from everything that’s happened and build a peaceful, stable life for Fianna.”
Masterson, 49, was charged with three counts of forcible rape in June 2020, to which he pleaded not guilty. After a November 2022 mistrial, he was found guilty of two of the charges in May 2023. The third count resulted in a hung jury.
Since Masterson’s September 2023 sentencing, his legal team has fought to overturn his conviction. They filed an appeal in December 2024, claiming his retrial was “rife with erroneous judicial rulings that skewed the jury’s view of the evidence against him” and that “there was a stunning amount of exculpatory evidence which was never presented to the jury.”
