Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor was inundated with support as she shared a selection of photographs from her trip to the United States. The Sally Metcalfe actress, 60, is currently in California with her daughter Phoebe, 28.

Phoebe is overseas filming a Hollywood movie after shooting to fame following her portrayal of Daphne in Netflix’s Bridgerton.

Sally, who has worked on Coronation Street since 1986, looked glowing as she soaked up the sun during a stroll on Malibu Beach.

The barefoot actress wore straight-legged jeans, a striped long-sleeved shirt and accessorised with square sunglasses.

Phoebe could be seen walking alongside her mum with a huge smile on her face.

Sharing the post to her 128,000 Instagram followers, Sally wrote: “Beautiful day on the beach.”

In the comments, Phoebe replied: “Love you,” with three heart emojis, and Sally’s younger daughter Hattie, 20, echoed: “Love you guys.”

Many of her Coronation Street co-stars also flocked to the post to gush about the update.

Loose Women panellist Denise Welch, who played Natalie Barnes in the late 1990s, said: “So happy you’re there.”

Toyah Battersby star Georgia Taylor wrote: “You both look stunning, Sal.”

Brooke Vincent, who plays Sally’s onscreen daughter Sophie, added an array of heart eye and love heart emojis, while Beth Tinker actress Lisa George exclaimed: “Yes you made it!!!”

Other Coronation Street stars showed their support by liking Sally’s post, including Strictly Come Dancing winner Ellie Leach, Michelle Keegan, Sue Cleaver and Jack P. Shepherd.

It comes after Phoebe was announced as a nominee for BAFTA’s Rising Star Award.

The star said the nomination “means the world”, particularly after facing setbacks in the industry.

She told Sky News earlier this month: “With social media, there’s a very curated kind of idea of what it is to be an actress. And actually, it’s a lot of rejection and a lot of getting back on the horse and days like today make it feel really worth it.”

While she is best known for her role in Bridgerton, Phoebe has also starred in 2023 films Fair Play and Bank of Dave. She also appeared in the BBC series Waterloo Road and Prisoners’ Wives.
